I downloaded LeoCAD onto my new computer, and now when I go to start it, I get a message saying LeoCAD caused an illegal error and will be shutdown. The details of the illegal message are: LEOCAD caused an invalid page fault in module ATIO9XAA.DLL (...) (24 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

(...) Hello, I am not an experienced LeoCad user but I believe you have to wait a part update at www.leocad.org, there is no other way known to me. Hi A few days ago a new update with LDraw bricks was released. How can I get these bricks into LeoCAD? I'm using LeoCAD 0.73 under MS Windows 98. I tried the Library Piece Manager and than Import Piece. and selecting an LDraw .dat file I get a (...) (24 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

First thing to do is try to compile yourself and run (get the source to 0.73, not the latest one), if it still fails send me a backtrace of where it crashes and I'll be able to help. I'm trying to get LeoCAD to work on my linux box without much sucess. I downloaded leocad-0.73-linux.tgz and the pieces.zip files, extracted the pieces to /usr/share/leocad and copied leocad to /usr/bin. I have tried starting it as a normal user and (...) I need quite a bit of help on Leocad's export. Bryce 4 simply wont load *.3ds exported from leocad, and OBJ export works good, but brightness/constest (sp? ) is MAXED on text so i has tone down lights way down to make legos look normal in bryce. on (...) (...) Thanks about the piece thing, that will work fabulously. As for getting the steps on the LDRAW files, I was able to fix that myself, you see, the DAT I had downloaded didn't have any steps. (...) To create custom pieces you have to use LDraw and then import the file from the Pieces Library Manager (under the File menu).
