Hello, I'm using ldraw and Leocad for about a week now.
yesterday I discovered that the piece Library in leocad doens't contain the
most recent pieces.
I ran the ldraw0202.exe update file but the piece library in Leocad didn't
change
after some research I found out that leocad uses it's own library
(located in pieces.bin and pieces.idx) wich has apparently nothing to do
with the ldraw library
I also tried to load the ldraw02020.exe and even complete.exe via the Load
Update command
in the Piece Library Manager but my computer chrashes when I try that
although the
pieces.bin file was rewritten to pieces-b.old
so can anyone tell me if it is possible at all to let leocad use the ldraw
library instead of it's own?
(the only working method is to load the pieces one-by-one via the Import
piece command but with about
500 pieces to go it will take me awhile!
thanks in advance
spiff

| (...) Hello, I am not an experienced LeoCad user but I believe you have to wait a part update at www.leocad.org, there is no other way known to me. LeoCad does not use the Ldraw part library, but its own library, converted from Ldraw parts. LeoCad (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.leocad)
