    I cannot connect to LDRAW.ORG - plz help!!! —Franklin W. Cain
   I've tried connecting to www.ldraw.org for several hours now, and I've consistently gotten the "No response - server may be down" error message! I've tried clicking on a link (for the 2000-02 parts update vote), another link (going to the domain (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

     (...) I don't know a lot about this stuff, but www.lugnet.org is not down, I just checked it. So I'm guessing it's a problem on your end. You can obviously get here.      Franklin: There has been a disruption of the network somewhere, which had the result that a part of the world has been unable to get through to www.ldraw.org between roughly between 10 and 12 Saturday morning (Danish time). OK, since I was visiting my parents tonight anyway, I decided to run this traceroute at their place over their connection, since I could *not* access LDraw.ORG from their computer *either*. :-P This is what I got: (...)      Daniel: (...) If your machine is behind a firewall, it is very likely that you are using a proxy without knowing it. It is not uncommon to put a "transparent proxy", which intercepts HTTP requests, in a firewall. Franklin: Did you get through to (...) However, I was *not* able to download the file, *nor* was I able to see all of the images (exceeded the limits for "free" use of the anonymiser, and (...)
