But I find it a little difficult to see how you can participate unless youre
one of the small handfull of reviewers with a constant level of high
activity:
If you arent paying really close attention to the PT on a daily basis, how
are you supposed to spot eligble (new) files among all the resubmitting and
reviewing activity in the recent activity log?
Isnt it possible to automate the process and make a true recent uploaded
files-log like the recent activity log - And if so, perhaps even feeding
this list into the voting module automatically so that all new parts
participate in the contest and no one gets overlooked:
Assuming that the number of truly new parts each month is rather limited, I
cant really see why a House of Lords of super reviewers (and occasional
author) should need to keep track of the recent files, and have an initial
vote on which parts theyd want to redirect to the admins, and make the
admins spend time adding the parts to the list manually - before the general
LDraw audience even have a real chance to participate...
I really hate to sound like the average lugnet bitch here, but I cant help
feeling that the current model creates unnessecary work and hurt the
democratic process...

Hi Niels,
I could be misreading you but just in case it reads as though you are assuming
that the reviewers submit the part for voting. That is not the case, the author
must submit their own part which means that if youve submitted something the
onus is on you to have it voted on. I imagine some part authors (like me)
wouldnt want some of their parts in the competition.
