This is my fault. The poll module that we use opens and closes the polls
automatically based on the dates and times inputted. Once the poll is opened,
these the date/time values cannot be changed. I misinformed Tim that the poll
would end at 0800 when in actuality it ended at 0700. I noticed this fact after
the poll had closed otherwise I would have issued a correction.
As far as the time zone issue, we'll take this into consideration in the future.
For your (and anyone else's) reference, the site is on Eastern Standard Time
(GMT +5). This means that all time for the published articles are GMT +5 unless
otherwise noted.
Thirdly, I agree a week is too short. Once the new LSC takes office, I think we
should change the period of time to 10 days.
