  Questions On ldconfig.ldr (Was: colours.txt -> LDraw-org Official Part Updates!)

(...) Oh boy, I've never noticed that one! Must be because of its misleading name and extension. So, what does the A, DR, DG, DB, DA columns stand for? (A is always = 255, so one can wonder what good it does.) It should benifit from some more (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: colours.txt -> LDraw-org Official Part Updates!

(...) This is what the ldconfig.ldr file is. Look for it the LDraw base dir. -Orion (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  colours.txt -> LDraw-org Official Part Updates!

(...) Sorry, I just can't find it. Could you give me a direct link? Thanks, /Tore (btw, the file colours.txt is very close to what I have in mind, only that what I think of should not be limited to 80 colours, it should be stored in the LDraw (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: MakePart.c (Was: Baseplate generator program)

Hi, "Tore Eriksson" <tore.eriksson@mbox3...wipnet.se> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:HywH7z.GLE@lugnet.com... (...) <SNIP> cool I'll give it a try! Thanks a lot, Michael (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  MakePart.c (Was: Baseplate generator program)

I knew I had it somewhere... If this code snippet can be of any use, anyone is free to use it. Notes: The main() is just an example on how to call the makepart() function. The groove option does not work. There really should be an outputfilename (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Baseplate generator program

Lester, I would like to include that into MLCad. Adding as a meta command for MLCad I could support this. All I would need is some sort of library I can use. Best way would be a dll, which generates that - or if you do not mind already the source (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Color Defining Systems Summary?

(...) The LSC is almost done with the !COLOR meta-statement that should satisfy your need once L3P and MLCad support it. You can read the current draft here: (URL) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Color Defining Systems Summary?

I think that there are a number of different systems for defining new or custom colors in the large number of LCad programs, right? Most of them are considerate towards original LDraw and other tools that are not supporting that system. But I think (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Baseplate generator program

(...) I think that it's a good idea. There is a built-in part genereator in SimLego too, but the parts it generates are far from today's LCad standards, and the SimLego source code is forever lost. A third way to go would be to write an LDraw Script (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Baseplate generator program

(...) Wow, I can't speak for everyone, but I'd love to get my hands on that. Could be a real good program, simple way to generate the kind of baseplates you need. You never know, you could turn that little program into a real nice little parts (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Ideas for next MOTM contest

(...) (I hope you see this reply. Since it no longer has anything to do with ldraw.org, I moved it to the general dev group.) I'm guessing you mean moving out the near clip plane. This can indeed help a whole lot. I actually set the near and far (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Ideas for next MOTM contest

(...) Oh, whoops. I had forgotten that you'd implemented the mirroring. My bad. --Travis (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Baseplate generator program

I am developing a building in MLCAD (which I have built). I intend to including an interior and may use cut (Gasp!!) baseplates for floors. Since the parts library did not include non-standard baseplates (like 22x12) I wrote a small program that (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

In lugnet.cad.dev, Mark Chittenden wrote: --snip-- (...) Ahh, that's perfect! Just what I needed, thanks. :) Nothing too detailed and overdone, just makes it look like people aren't drinking from empty glasses. :) Thanks a ton for helping. If (...)   Re: LDraw Part Request - Goblet Fill

(...) Whipped up a simple "filler" piece for the goblet. Fills the goblet to 3/4's full. Works best as a solid color in a translucent goblet. Here's a pic, the part will be available via my Brickshelf folder when it passes moderation. The goblet on (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  LDraw Part Request - Goblet Fill

I was hoping someone could help me out with this. I'd do it myself, except I don't have the skills yet. I'm looking for something to fill the castle goblet. It needs to look right for a drink inside the goblet (this means maybe even not up to the (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Orion, There is a Java3D developer installer for Mac OS X, so it isn't available to the public yet. My guess is that it will be in Mac OS X 10.4, which hasn't really been announced yet, other than the announcement that it will be demoed at the (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Thanks for the insight Kyle. Here's my next question... I'm not looking to buy a Java IDE (I've already purchased Delphi and Visual Studio in the last year) so I went looking for a good, free IDE. I've found 2 that seem to be in wide use: (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Oh I should add, that while I haven't run my program on MacOS X, I have run the exact same code on Solaris, Linux, and Windows, and It was really impressive how it just worked. I didn't even have to recompile. :) -Kyle (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Hi Orion. I've been lurking here awhile and I've seen the stuff you've done for LDraw. I'm glad I can finally answer a question or two. While I do work for Sun, I don't work in the group that does Java3D, however I do know some of the (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)
