But I have it rendered at 50% *and* I used a batch conversion to reduce the LDLite output to 8 bits.(1) Sure it took a while, but the savings were significant. If I remember (...) | | | | | | Hmmm. A 6.4 GB drive is $124 at Fry's today, for a cost of roughly $0.01 USD per 0.5 MB. If we assume this option saves 22 MB for each of the 500 LDLite users, the net savings to the entire world will amount to $220, which is probably worth an hour (...) | | | | (...) Just to provide a more-or-less final answer to this question, Image Magick includes mogrify.exe, which is designed to do mass file conversions. Using mogrify, I converted all the VEC images to BMP-RLE format. Which took the VEC down to 6.5MB. (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
