OK, I see what you mean. It would still mean that Steve would have to then
check to see if it really is a different part, or if it's just the same
name, and then he'd have to assign a new name, contact the author so that if
they have to resubmit later they use the new name and not the old name or
else parts might get swapped around (and parts.lst not update correctly),
and as the post from Steve already says he just doesn't have the time to do
that on what is really just a quick job to get something out.

Hmm, I wonder if I've got enough time to add the optional lines to my part
and send it in to make the unofficial update? ;)
