  Re: Lugnet.cad.dat heirarchy

(...) Which lists do you mean? Messages? Newsgroups? Which "new message" section do you mean? The traffic report page (URL) some new section that doesn't yet exist? What does a pull-down menu give you that a list of hyperlinks doesn't? --Todd (...) (26 years ago, 14-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

[ldraw.org] Browsers and CSS(was: Re: Ldraw.org: Organization and look & feel)

(...) I looked into CSS today and think it would be very useful in keeping the pages clean and allowing a universal across-the-board look and feel. The method I would use would be the one .css file that the html references to and that can be changed (...) (26 years ago, 14-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

(...) I've been reading the Boards, so I understand the problem, and I wasn't planning on sending Jonathan the bitmaps (Nooffense Jonathan). Besides, he didn't e-mail me. ;) (...) Jonathan, For the most part I agree with what the others have been (...) (26 years ago, 14-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

(...) Since we've mentioned other Macromedia products, I've used Fireworks for this. It has a cool preview feature that lets you tweak out an image, deciding on quality vs size and it even gives you an estimate of the download time at 28.8. (...) (26 years ago, 14-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

(...) Which brings up another issue. Does anyone have one of those gif compressors that take several k out of each file so nicely and conveniently? If so, when the ldraw.org images are done, could you run them through it? Or is there a freeware one (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Eve of Beginnings

(...) Don't forget zacktron.com :) Well, lets see here, my votes would go for either: The LDraw Foundation -or- www.ldraw.org For ldraw.org's site title. I like both of em, and though ldraw.org sports that simplistic elegance Terry talked about, The (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Lego CAD for Mac?

How do you get JLDraw to display something? I can get it to start up in IE 4, or in the Apple Applet Runner, but what URLs should I use? What should be in the 'LDraw Root' field and what should be in the 'Part Name' field? Rob ---...--- (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) a (...) L3P output is huge though, usually 300 Kb - 1 Mb. I'm not sure I'd have the patience to wait for those to download. It would also be very slow before you could view the model if there was some way to link them to POV-Ray (like LDLite (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

(...) but (...) You're lucky compared to me... I have a 28.8 which never hits more than about 4 Kbps because of the phonelines and other computers everything has to run through. That's probably why I'm so concerned about making the images on my web (...) (26 years ago, 13-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
