  Re: Obscure ldraw descriptions

(...) The point of having the name "Technic Pin with Friction" (not "technic pin with friction" as you refered to) is to make sure that the part falls in the same category as the part "Technic Pin". This is also why the names of the Technic chain (...) (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

LDraw CD-ROM Update/Funding and dealing with group funds

  Obscure ldraw descriptions

i've noticed that a few ldraw pieces have extremely drawn-out descriptions. for instance: we have the "technic pin with friction", 4459.dat 'with friction'? it should be called a "technic friction peg", or "technic friction pin" 50.dat has a good (...) (24 years ago, 28-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDraw to display at Legoland California for Kidvention

(...) I agree as well.   Re: LDraw to display at Legoland California for Kidvention

(...) Agreed. There is more to LEGO than space. Indeed, I would argue that the most creative models are those that represent things already built in real life such as buildings and current day vehicles, rather than things from the imagination. But (...) (24 years ago, 28-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: LDraw to display at Legoland California for Kidvention

(...) I'm now "officially" an AFOL. I had my 18th birthday recently. I might be able to make it to the convention, I already have lodging, I just need the time and the funds.   "stud" rendering in LEdit?

The primitives "stud.dat" and "stud2.dat" render, of course, as tiny lines instead of actual stud representations in LEdit—how is this accomplished? Is it something in the code of LEdit, or is it intrinsic to the primitives themselves? Dave! (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
