Re: [ldraw.org] Model of the Month

(...) Thanks! I'm very happy with the model and the picture. Of course, that was the only time L3P has ever worked for me. :) I think most of us can guess which two or three are in the lead. :) (...) So, uh, vote for my model and get $1000!! Yeah, (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.general)

  Re: HOSER problem

(...) Sorry for interrupting. Just out of curiosity, I would like to ask if you use the end and control points the user chooses to compose the Bezier curve, or if you alter the control points to achieve the proper length of the curved hose? I don't (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [ldraw.org] Model of the Month

(...) Yeah there's some stiff competition, from the stats as of now it looks like two or three of the models will be competing neck-and-neck (I won't say which ones). Jeff, your A-Wing model *does* rock :) (...) Hee... Um, I forgot to announce it I (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.general)

  Re: HOSER problem

I placed the required part(752 ??) where it needs to be and then used that point for getting the end of the hose where I want it. This is what I've been doing all along and I've never gotten the wierd end point like I was experiancing with this one. (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: HOSER problem

Ryan, Remember that first you need to place the hose ends in the model yourself. Then determine the x,y,z of the "top" of each hose end. These will be the endpoints for hoser. Add the control points, and hoser will calculate the position and (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [ldraw.org] Model of the Month

(...) Yeeouch! Talk about stiff competition for A-Wing! Look at that Statue of Isis! Amazing! I guess I won't be winning this month, especially when there are so many better models to choose from! I'm also gonna have a hard time voting! Pardon me (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Minifig Fire Helmet (3834)

Hi For the parts with some regularity (helmets etc) I draw them up on graph paper, showing three projections, converting the curves to polygons/prisms, using judgement as to the level of detail. Circular sections follow the 16-agon standard, curves (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw pieces printing

Sorry for not replying sooner, but I had to re-format my hard drive for the second time in a year. Anyway, assuming LUGNet actually lets me post this time, my parts catalog can be found at (URL) this helps, --a signatureless (due to the web (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw pieces printing

(...) LDAO does have a catalog print function, which is a quick way of printing the bricks. Or you can look for Patrick's printable catalog, which has a better/more compact layout.   Re: LDraw pieces printing

(...) Steve Bliss has this page: (URL) isn't optimized for printing, but I snarf myself a copy from time to time anyway... (I hope that's okay, Steve!)
