I have a few comments to make about the part in general, and since I wanted to highlight some lines in this particular sub-part, I’m entering my whole reply here. Lines 46-55 in this file are listed as triangles, but all have two identical vertices, so they’re actually lines. Since they’re color 16, I’m guessing that they actually don’t belong in the file at all. Perhaps they’re the result of 3 decimal rounding.

Additionally, three decimal places definitely isn’t enough in x784s02.dat and x784.dat, or the calculations are off a little, because I can see fairly obvious gaps between the segments. Also, the gear teeth primitives won’t work, because they’re modeled to be placed on a convex surface, so there’s a gap underneath when put onto a flat surface like you have done. Here’s what I mean:

Note that the gaps visible between the segments are exagerated by the fact that I have BFC enabled, so the back sides of the surfaces on the far side of the part aren’t being drawn. This lets the white background show through.

Finally, I’m not sure if you’re aware, but the gear teeth in x784s02 are for the opposite side of the circle from the rest. This of course doesn’t hurt anything since the part goes the full 360 degrees, but it seemed a bit odd.

Sorry I missed this in my first reply, but I just noticed. There's a minor modeling glitch that's resulting in extra polygons on one side (but not the other). Take a look at the circled sections (you can just make out the problem via the shading): (...) (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)
