Re: New way to make Ldraw parts?

Plough's script works beautifully even with Blender 2.37, but it does seem as if Yann beat the both of us to it. Thanks, I will check that out. Hm - I wonder if Blender could be used to place the markers for stud connections? Just a random thought, (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New way to make Ldraw parts?

(...) If I recall that script won't work with the current blender version. A better script is here: (URL) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

New way to make Ldraw parts?

Has anyone looked into using Blender to create new Ldraw parts? There is a script that reads Dat to Blender (URL), so perhaps it wouldn't be so hard to flip the script? I'm a programming noob, so I may be off base there. As I understand it, Mlcad or (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Question about "stickers"

(...) In this case, I think you should make them the same size as the shield, armor, or flag face. -ORion (19 years ago, 6-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Question about "stickers"

(...) hi mark, I've never got reply when I sent you the scan of my stickers (suppose the mail has been eaten up by some spam filter) and therefore I'll post the link her: (URL) (234 KB) I also measured the stickers (though they are not in the best (...)   Re: Dinosaur Body Neck/Tail Ring (40375)

(...) Wow, it looks like you got a long way on it. But I don't think I'm the one to finish it at this time... I'm actually using the neck ring for a smokestack on a steam train, and idea I got from Jeremy Rear. -Matt :) ---...--- (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Reduced versions of BBB wheels

(...) Thanks Tim, yes I believe the originals are from a modelling tool. And I'll be first to admit, mine are not as accurate as the originals, I sacrificed accuracy for size. But they use a lot of primitives, which most LDraw renderers are able to (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Reduced versions of BBB wheels

(...) So thats what you and Tim were talkin about yesterday, I was most confused. Your new versions look as good as the originals, so the reduced file size was deinatly worth doing. The originals were huge (some sort of conversion from the CAD (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Dinosaur Body Neck/Tail Ring (40375)

(...) Hi Matthew, I've begun one half of the body part some time ago. If you want, you could finish it. For some pictures look here: (URL) you are interested, I would send you the part. CU Bernd (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
