Cooking recipe for parts: Ingrediens and preparations

(...) Good idea; that would be really nice, but it doesn't seem to be possible? Or does anybody have a suggestion? As it is now, I use the (URL) LDraw Primitives Reference>, which seems pretty well updated. {Note:} There's a lot of new and better (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Getting started in Parts Authoring

As suggested by Neils, I'm moving my inquiries on the basics of parts authoring to this forum. In CAD, I asked how to add a new MLCAD folder to store primitives, sized-up primitives and parts-of-other-parts. The reply was simple enough. It did have (...)   Re: wannabe parts author needs mentor

(...) Great idea, but I think lugnet.cad.dat.parts would be a better choice for such questions. But I'd suggest that you start with some simple parts while you learn the basics. Personally I started with the duplo piece (URL) x250>. While you're (...) (20 years ago, 22-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Part requests: Lots and lots of parts

(...) I'm staring at a Knights Kingdom racheting joint at the moment wondering how many hundreds of lines of code it would take to create it! If I take up the challenge to model an entire knight, (if not for my Lego Robotics classes) I wouldn't be (...) (20 years ago, 12-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Part requests: Lots and lots of parts

David, With a list that long, it looks like you'd better learn to author parts. It really is a lot to ask others to do the work for you. When do they get to play with LEGO? Kevin (...) (20 years ago, 12-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Part requests: Lots and lots of parts

(...) (does it only deal with Unofficial parts?). I couldn't find the jet engine under Plates and I couldn't find the hinge arm under Hinge, Arm (which is where the click-hinge versions are), so I figured they didn't exist. Well, I'll have to add (...) (20 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Part requests: Lots and lots of parts

(...) These are already in the official library (there are links to the DATs from the Peeron pages). 4868 is officially named "Plane Jet Engine", but has a different Peeron name to avoid confusion with (URL) TWS Garrison (URL) capital letters in (...)   Part requests: Lots and lots of parts

I've been tinkering around with LDraw a bit...well, okay, more than a bit, but nearly every MOC that I've tried to recreate in LDR format has run into at least one missing piece. Here's what I'd like to see: Completely new parts: (URL) Wheel Solid (...) (20 years ago, 10-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Part request: Wedge 3 x 4 Plate with Stud Notches

Hello all, I've been working on the CAD version of one of my creations for the Bot Contest, and it seems that one of the pieces that I need has not been made yet, The part is #48183 "Wedge 3 x 4 Plate with Stud Notches", and can be seen here ((URL) (...)
