Re: 3867 Baseplate 16 x 16 with Island Pattern  [DAT]

I've updated the part to have the blue parts hard-coded blue, and the remainder of the piece (the sides & bottom) grey.   Re: New Part: 30621.dat - Brick 12 x 2 with lots of stuff

(...) I noticed that -- I saw it on the Parts Tracker. :) Any chance you could rotate it 90 degrees? For a long time, we've had a mix of orientation for asymmetric(al?) parts -- some were placed longways on the X-axis, some along the Z-axis. Awhile (...)   Re: Rubber belts modelling

I just uploaded a Rubber Belt Generator utility, that creates DAT files for rubber belts taut between two pulleys. The rubber belt generated can have a square section or a round one, using cylinder primitive. This utility is available from (URL) (...)   Re: Subfiles - Question

(...) That's what i've done this evening. I splitted the main file into one new subfile (32087s02.dat witch re-use the 2865s04.dat file)and the mainfile (32087_mainfile.dat). I couldn't add the small center track pieces too the 32087s02.dat file due (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Liftarm width

Maybe this subject has been beaten to death, but I wonder why straight technic liftarms are 20 ldu wide and bent ones are 18 only ? In reality both are exactly the same width, which as I measured is close to 18 ldu. Philo www.philohome.com (23 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

New Part: Tile 2 x 2 with Pirate Map Pattern  [DAT]

Here's another piece from the Pirates line not yet in LDraw. Let me know what you think. I'm not sure about the color of the water; In MLCad, the light blue seems to dark, but the cyan seems too, well, cyan. Andy 0 Tile 2 x 2 with Pirate Map Pattern (...)   Re: 3867 Baseplate 16 x 16 with Island Pattern

(...) Hmmm, you mean you already made this part? I searched the newsgroup and the parts tracker before starting this, but didn't see it. You're right about the colors, it should be hardcoded blue. Andy (23 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Subfiles - Question  [DAT]

(...) Inlining is replacing a reference to a subfile with the code from that file. So if I had a part file, which had the line: 1 1 10 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 stud.dat and I "inlined" the stud.dat, my one line would be replaced with: 1 1 10 0 0 6 0 0 (...)   Re: Restrictions on color use in parts and subparts

(...) Huh? It is? Where? I know there's some writeup about dithered colors, but I believe Damien is thinking of the 'extended colors', the color codes between 17 and 26 (excluding 24) that are defined in the LDraw.org color reference. Question 27 in Ldraw FAQ gives color codes but not restrictions in use. Where is reference info for color use in parts/subparts? This info should be included in ldraw specification and reviewer materials. Thanks, Damien (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
