  6261 Baseplate 32 x 48 Raised Ramp & Pit Plate  [DAT]

This is the Baseplate from 6090 Royal Knight's Castle. I started this a couple days ago, and finally finished tonight. I was suprised at how easy it was (easy, but tedious), and it kinda made me wonder why no one did it before. Oh, well, Enjoy! Jeff (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Revised Arched Latticed WIndow Pane  [DAT]

I renamed the primitive to box6nl.dat (since it has 6 faces). I revised the part so that now the rotational axis is aligned with the x-axis. This means that if you want to rotate the window once it has been placed in a model you will have to move it (...)   Re: minifig crossbow

Jonathan, you have improved very much. I never would have guessed this piece to be done by you if someone had just 'laid it in front of me'. Good job. I only noticed two mistakes that should be fairly easy to correct 1. The handle is too far (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Unofficial part: Technic Connector Half  [DAT]

0 Hi, this part is probably quite rare in the US yet, having appeared 0 mostly in European sets so far. It is however appearing in 8445. 0 0 Nevertheless, I would be happy if you could take a look at it and 0 report any flaws you can see. 0 0 Also, (...) the part as posted has an error in it. there are some parts that are color #7 instead of color #16. i am aware of this and have fixed the part. (25 years ago, 31-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Just so y'all know, I haven't heard back from Mindspring, Jacob, or Nordu.net in quite a few days.   Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

Thought experiment was very convincing. I'll redo the part so that the axis of rotation is around the x axis (I'll check the orientation of 30044 first to make sure the axis is correct). This way you'll only have to move the part in the y direction (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

[followups set to lugnet.cad.dev] (...) Looks like box.dat is the only one based on a 2x2x2 cube, all the other box*.dat primitives are 2x1x2, Y[0,1]. So this new primitive should be written the same way. (...) Clear naming would be nice, but we (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

[followups set to lugnet.cad.dev - let's reign in this multi-ng discussion] (...) See my other post. The A key is very nice, it saves 5 keystrokes. But it isn't a reason to create a part in a bizarre orientation. Steve (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

(...) Hmm. That's not *exactly* the intended guideline. Rotatable parts should be positioned so the axis of rotation lies on one of the major axes. That way, the part can be easily rotated to any angle. (...) But the A key function is only useful if (...)
