    Mosque, minifig scale —Fredrik Glöckner
"Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar Ash hadu allaa ilaaha ill Allah, Ash hadu allaa ilaaha ill Allah" Five times a day, the islam prayer can be heard from the loudspeaker in the mosque's minaret. Inside the mosque, there is a (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models) !

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Jacob Sparre Andersen
Fredrik: Nice model. I like the way the roof hinges open. I know that this is a small mosque (probably in a poor village), but shouldn't the walls be chalked white? (...) Lazy you. ;-) Play well, Jacob -- (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) Thanks! You are right in assuming that the mosque is a small one. It's not the major type in which you would find a friday cermon, rather a small one for a local community. I think that many mosques in the central Middle East would be chalked (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Tore Eriksson
(...) LOL! I just love it! Reminds me of the times I visited Turkey and Syria. It's more than ten years since, but I still can hear the prayers from underdimentioned loudspeakers. Very nice model! /Tore (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) It's funny you should say that! I had just the same experience in Egypt. The loudspeakers were always driven too hard for their size, be it the loudspeakers in minarets, taxis, cafes and so on! Thanks for your comments! Fredrik (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Michael Horvath
Very nice model! Makes you want to enter it from all three directions. -Mike (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Tore Eriksson
Fredrik, How about having this Mosque in Datsville? :o) /Tore (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) It's funny you should ask, as I thought about the same myself. However, I thought that Datsville was more or less static, hence I didn't feel that it was worth mentioning this in my post. If you would like to put it in Datsville, that would (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Tore Eriksson
(...) Thanks, I may do that, or just a file with shortcut and a transformation matrix. /Tore (...) Like a wise man once said: It's funny you should ask, as I thought about the same myself. ;o) (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Mosque, minifig scale —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) Ah, yes, that is probably a simpler way! :-) (...) Hehe! My comment about Ldrville was actually meant as a joke. I think that "Datsville" is a better name, and it also honors the original author. Are you doing much work on Datsville now, BTW? (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)
