  Re: WWII type airplane

(...) That is a nice trick. I also like the wing construction to make them appear slightly swept, and the the slight angling of the rear stabs. Very clever. Very nice model overall. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 17-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  A-Wing Fighter  [DAT]

Here is my Latest Model, a Star Wars A-Wing. It comes complete with Concussion Missile Tubes (You may have to look at it head-on to see them), Rotatable Laser Cannons, and Adjustable Stabilizers. (...) opens (...) Nice! I really like the use of the steep windshield to make a shallow windshield. I might have to "borrow" that idea for some of my own models (a sports car maybe?) :) --Bram (25 years ago, 16-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  WWII type airplane  [DAT]

Here is a model of a propellor fighter. Yes, it has swept wings. It makes it look more shark-ish. No frills on this guy though. (Canopy opens though). I guess the pilot just belly lands it. I have a F-4U Corsair looking opponent coming along, but (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Gorgon  [DAT]

Finally figured out how to use the "inline" button, duh. Here is an older model I have done that might make it to a web page someday. It was originally intended to look like Luke's T-16 Skyhopper from Star Wars. In the end, I didn't have a decent (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Fallingwater  [DAT]

Here's the model I made of Fran Lloyd Wright's Fallinwater (selectively compressed of course). In real life, I built the model on two baseplates, a 48 x 48 on the bottom, and then a 32x32 with some small baseplates about 6 bricks up. I also built a (...)   Re: Custom TIE/ln Fighter

Very nice, Jeff. Your model shows that the TIE could have been done just fine without the new "blocky" bracket pieces. I'll bet your wings even come off easily enough. I wish there were a good way to model the diagonal lines on the wings, though. (...) (25 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Custom TIE/ln Fighter  [DAT]

This is my custom TIE Fighter. It is missing the 2x2 cylinder tiles with the Empire's Symbol (replaced with a plain one) and the Cockpit dome, but it should be easy to spot where they are supposed to go.   Re: 8216 Turbo 1 - My first shot at ldraw

(...) Actually the "Hoser" program is a spreadsheet used for generating the system-type flexible hoses. It wouldn't really work well for the flex tubing. (...) I was not aware that such a program existed or I would have used it. Can you point me to where I can get it and I will update the MPD to replace the bezier curves and add the missing parts. -- Owen (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets)

Re: 8216 Turbo 1 - My first shot at ldraw

good first shot. 1. how about replacing bezier curve generated curve with one made by the hoser program? 2.next tile put the unofficial parts into the mpd. makes things easier. (25 years ago, 8-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets)

8216 Turbo 1 - My first shot at ldraw  [DAT]
