This is, no doubt, going to be a pain for some people... but i was wondering if
we could initiate a "standard" on the orientation of wheels... i noticed
that the "giant space wheel" is rotated 90 degrees in relation to the "medium"
and "small" versions... no biggie... but it's just sloppy and a pain that
slapping a wheel into a model may involve rotation just to get it oriented the
same as similar wheels.. it's the same story with the "technic 24x43"... we
could easily rotate the entire .dat file and then update the part... i KNOW
this would cause chaos in every model file that already has these parts in
it...

just, once again, my wish for the future...

(and if you want to know the truth, the fact that all the windscreens and other
parts that have a definitive "front" and "back" but aren't oriented the same
really cheeses me in the same way... i just figured i'd wade in lightly with a
only couple of wheel requests first... ;) personally i'd like to see the entire
catalog follow a standard.. but boy, all the model editing we would be in for)

terry K??? your input???

(...) I agree that having parts every-which-way can be annoying. And it would be nice to have everything facing one direction. But you hit the nail on the head with your last line. Doing that would really screw up a _lot_ of old models. So I would (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)
