  New Car QTVR object.

I recreated the CAR.DAT QuickTime Virtual Reality object. This one was rendered in POV-Ray, and is very small (about 100x100 pixels), but big (444 K). Again, it doesn't seem to work with Netscape. It is almost 360 degree rotation on x and y axis (it (...) (23 years ago, 4-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Sorry I am just now catching up on this. Can you explain what this is? (...) Cool! I look forward to see this! (...) I certainly am. I think QTVR rocks. (...) Does your program auto-create these? If I wanted to make them myself, does Lani (...) (23 years ago, 4-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Car QTVR object.

(...) I made a webpage and here it is: (URL) I made this webpage with the intention that I would be further along than I am. In other words, it speaks as if I have done things I haven't. And, I planned on having the actual dat file downloads (...) (23 years ago, 4-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Car QTVR object.

QTVR seems pretty stable. I wonder if you could use it to create something a lot like the DAT-explorer? Hmm... Interesting. -Mike (...) (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Car QTVR object.

(...) I think I am still a little confused. Does the Lani program take a single .dat file and spit out 144 .dat (or .pov?) files that all have the right angles to make a 360 degree QTVR movie? Or do you have 144 .dat files that are "masters" that I (...) (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Car QTVR object.

I have put up the 144 dat files for download in zip format, and self extracting (Mac and PC versions). I have also created a friendly gallery page (it gives you details of the QTVR's but doesn't start downloading them). So far my gallery has a full (...) (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Car QTVR object.

(...) Where at? I can't seem to find them on your site. (...) Yes, larger the better for me. 300x300px or 400px would be cool. (...) Ah! Ok, so what the program is doing and what you are doing in light of the program not being finished are two (...) (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

Opps, I fixed it (danged case sensitivity--Mac's don't have it, even Mac OS X...). I should have tested... James Reynolds (...) (23 years ago, 7-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Car QTVR object.

(...) I should dig out that program. The program itself might not be very useful (it's a VB app, after all....), but the language might be useful. Especially combined with MPD formatting. Seems like I did some kind of clock/frame-counter thingy... (...) (23 years ago, 8-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

(...) This was not the animation: (URL) was on www.ldraw.org (so it wasn't that long ago that I saw it), and it was ray-traced. James (23 years ago, 11-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)
