QTVR seems pretty stable.  I wonder if you could use it to create something
a lot like the DAT-explorer?

Hmm...
Interesting.

I recreated the CAR.DAT QuickTime Virtual Reality object.

This one was rendered in POV-Ray, and is very small (about 100x100 • pixels),
but big (444 K).  Again, it doesn't seem to work with Netscape.

It is almost 360 degree rotation on x and y axis (it is 360 on x, but not
360 y -- I had a bug in my Lani program that messes some of the frames • up).

When I get the full 360 degree version working (next week?) then I will • post
again and put up a webpage with the dat files that I used to make it with
instructions so that others can make QTVR's of any model too.

Is anyone interested in making QTVR's?  I know the file size is huge, but • I
think it is worth it.

If you get the images (about 144), I would be willing to make the actual
QTVR's (it takes about 5 minutes).

Let me know what you think.
