    Ldlite 1.0 —Paul Gyugyi
Well, I got around to releasing ldlite 1.0. It's at (URL). Enjoy. Some fun things I've done: 1. I set up my web server to know that *.dat files have a MIME type of application/x-ldraw, and then associated those files with ldlite. Now I can click on (...)      (...) Very good stuff here! Thanks to Gyug and everyone who helped him, especially with code-speed. LDLite is *fast*! :) (...) That would be cool! In the meantime, I'm updating LDAO so the editor's LDraw/preview button can be used with LDLite (and (...) (26 years ago, 12-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

(...) ZOWIE!! Yes! Amazing! (...) Another thing you can do is have a CGI script return Content-type: application/x-ldraw instead of text/html or text/plain...that's what I did since I had a CGI script already for extracting article bodies (...) (26 years ago, 12-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

(...) How'd you get ldlite to show different views? Do you need to use LDAO or just run it from a command line? Seems like a nice addition would be the choice of view from a pull down menu. Thanks for this great program! 8) Ben buster@verinet.com (...) (26 years ago, 13-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

        Re: Ldlite 1.0 —Steve Bliss
Paul: A small suggestion for LDLite & its web page. There's no info about setting up MIME for MS Internet Explorer, so here's what I did: Open an Explorer window (or any folder window). Go into View | Options | File Types. Locate the ldlite document (...) (26 years ago, 14-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

        Re: Ldlite 1.0 —Mike Stanley
(...) This took care of my problem with IE launching LDLite also. The file type was already there, so I just inserted application/x-ldraw into the Content Type box. THANKS! (26 years ago, 14-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

        Re: Ldlite 1.0 —Joe Greene
(...) It should be possible. it's part of creating the file type association in the registry..I'll dig up the data later and post it. (...) Yes, and no, if Netscape can't find a MIME type for something it falls back on the Win95/98 registry to find (...) (26 years ago, 3-Nov-98, to lugnet.cad)
