  Re: Lego VCR

Don't worry, Onyx, I think JW has irritated everyone at some point or another. I think the VCR is awesome, great job! :) BTW, your reaction is what I was thinking when I read his post back! Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Lego VCR

(...) To clarify... *The VCR is **NOT** my design!!!*... it *IS* awesome.. but the link was sent to me from a friend yesterday... it was created by ben williamson... he hangs out over on LUGNET's robotics groups... i invited him to start LDraw'ing (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Lego VCR

(...) Yes, there is (assuming you include Linux in UNIX, which is quite common). But I haven't been able to run LDraw/LEdit under the DOS emulator (DOSEMU) yet. I have had pretty good luck with running LDLITE under WINE, though. It's pretty (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Lego VCR

(...) I'm working on a Linux version of LeoCAD, it's still in an early stage of development but you can use it to see LDraw files. Take a look at (URL) (only half of the parts are included to reduce the size of the download). Leonardo (25 years ago, 11-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Lego VCR

  Re: Lego VCR

(...) to (...) waiting (...) Jonathan, Your posts vex me. I cannot understand why after repeated requests from other Lugnet users you still post in all capital letters. Are the shift buttons on your keyboard broken? Is it your age maybe? You seem to (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Lego VCR

(...) It has been called to my attention that Jonathan is not posting in capital letters. He is posting in lower case ones. Serves me right for being a bit of a jerk. Bryce McGlone (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

Biting tin foil (Was: Lego VCR)

(...) Why does biting on tin (or aluminum in my case) foil give the biter the sensation of chewing on minifig-scale caltrops? Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 21-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Lego VCR

(...) walk away with one component of that model (and assuming I had a Mindstorms), I'd take the tape. Onyx, you make a diversion, and I'll see if I can score something for you, too. :-, (...) Welcome back! Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 21-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Biting tin foil (Was: Lego VCR)

(...) do fillings enhance this sensation at all (1)(2), or is it natural even in perfect teeth??   Re: Biting tin foil (Was: Lego VCR)

(...) I've often wondered. I've never been too keen on having my fillings removed so I can experiment, though. :-, It sounds like some kind of electrical phenomenon, perhaps like powering a light bulb with a pair of lemons (1)(2)(3). I've noticed (...) (25 years ago, 22-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
