do fillings enhance this sensation at all , or is it natural even in
perfect teeth??

I've often wondered.  I've never been too keen on having my fillings removed
so I can experiment, though.  :-,

It sounds like some kind of electrical phenomenon, perhaps like powering a
light bulb with a pair of lemons (1)(2)(3).  I've noticed that the "flavor"
of TFTS (tin foil tooth shock) is somewhat like the "flavor" of NVBTS
(nine-volt battery tongue shock), and I wonder if this is actually the
flavor of the metal or if the nerve endings in my taste buds are getting
juiced.  I'm inclined to think it's the overloaded nerves; the aluminum in a
soda can has a much different flavor.

Cheers,

1.  And no, I'm not talking about Ray-O-Vacs!  :-P  Has anyone ever had a
Ray-O-Vac battery last longer than a day?

2.  Hmmm...  I wonder if the electrical current in a case of TFTS could
possibly power a transistor radio?  The speaker's power requirements
shouldn't be too high -- probably just sufficient to conduct the sound into
the jawbone...

3.  Got more footnotes than you!  And I'm not a Libertarian!  Nyah!  ;-)
