Google translate does a pretty fair job, actually, enough to suss out most of
what is being said... Manfred's section of notes in the part authoring

I wasn't aware that there was a sliced cylinder primitive already (but I guess
in hindsight, how could there not be one?) ... with that (two of them, one for
the inside of the tube, and one for the outside), and a proper transformation of
the ring to stretch it and rotate it for the end, I've got what I need, I
think...
