Re: Purpose of physical colour parts

(...) Sorry Matt but this is cheap. Everyone who has the skills to author a part has all that's needed to review one. Instead of blaiming the reviewers go and ask for review rights - it might takes hours to review a part but it takes less than (...) (17 years ago, 13-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Purpose of physical colour parts  [DAT]

(...) Allen, I agree with you and would go a step further: I cannot see any benefit to have alias parts for transparent and opaque parts, but all this is the territory of the PT admins and I'm not going to mess around in their corner of the sandbox. (...) (17 years ago, 13-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Purpose of physical colour parts

(...) Amen! Preach it Brother Allen! I agree with you on all fronts. In the good news department - a part I first submitted 3 1/2 years ago (40375) finally got certified this weekend. But the pace of output for this stuff in painfully slow, and (...) (17 years ago, 13-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Purpose of physical colour parts

(...) Unfortunately, I missed this discussion and haven't stumbled on the magic search phrase to dig it up again. It strikes me that creating hard-colored parts for every part/color permutation Lego ever has or ever will produce has a number of (...) (17 years ago, 13-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Purpose of physical colour parts

(...) I couldn't find anything revelant by searching LUGNET, but I do see sense in this... though if enough numbers were found, parts/ directory one day would contain more of PC parts rather than real parts. Wouldn't it make more sense to at least (...) (17 years ago, 12-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Purpose of physical colour parts

(...) We had discussion about this several times (Please search Lugnet). Because TLG uses these days the colored numbers in the instructions, we try to bring also this number to the user. The AIOI lets you choose to install these parts or not. I (...) (17 years ago, 11-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Purpose of physical colour parts

What are the physical colour parts such as (URL) this one> for? Wouldn't it be more disk-space saving to rather have a list of coloured part numbers? I have my hands on quite a lot of them through building instructions, and I think that if one made (...) (17 years ago, 11-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Part title suggestions

(...) 48989 vs 55615 - I agree that the names should be more similar 30244 vs. 2412b and 54200 vs. 50746 - This is contrary to what has been agreed before. Where this exists in the existing official library (e.g. 2456 vs. 44237, 3960 vs. 30065) we (...) (17 years ago, 10-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Part title suggestions

(...) Thank you very much for pointing on that. We should have all a quick look at the mentioned issues, as all the parts are currently on the PT and everybody (who has reviewer rights) should comment for this. In general I agree to all three items (...) (17 years ago, 9-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Part title suggestions

Hi again, thought to voice my opinion on some parts' titles: (URL) 48989> and (URL) 55615> are obviously similar parts, however they have totally different titles. Even they seem like pin joiners to me, as there are no axleholes on either part, just (...) (17 years ago, 9-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LGEO Update

(...) Thanks for bringing this mistake to my attention. Actually, nobody decided anything yet. This is the unofficial library, so "They may be incomplete, or inaccurate, and it is possible that when they are officially released they may be changed (...)   Re: LGEO Update

(...) Apparently somebody decided to rename this part to 3928c01.dat. They then also decided that 3829.dat should just be the base. That is how things look on the tracker right now. However, anyone using the official parts library will be using 3829 (...) (17 years ago, 8-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LGEO Update

(...) As far as I can tell, 3829 is broken. The LDraw version of this file is just a reference to the steering wheel stand (3829a.dat) and the wheel itself (3829b.dat). The LGEO version of 3829 is just the stand, and lg_3829a is just an alias for (...) (17 years ago, 7-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: BlueBrick

(...) I've just released the version 1.3 of BlueBrick. This version fix some minor bugs, and complete the full compatibility with LDRAW thanks to the last missing LDRAW parts created by Alex Taylor. I really want to thank him for this amazing job! (...) (17 years ago, 7-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: BlueBrick

(...) I got few feedback from someone who try to run it under Mono 2.0 on linux. According to him it seems quite ok, BUT the drag'n'drop of parts from the part library to the map seems not working under Mono. A very annoying bug that I will try to (...) (17 years ago, 7-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: BlueBrick

(...) Oh very nice Stefan, I just saw your post now, after I published a new version. If you don't mind I will look forward to integrate them in a new release, because I think they are even better than the one I did from the new LDRAW part created (...)   Agents Alternate Model Renderings

Recently I've been building some alternate models for the (URL) Gold Hunt> Agents set. Here are POV-Ray renderings of two of them. First, a little mecha with articulated legs and a clunky gun: (2 URLs) Second, a stout utility truck: (2 URLs) The (...) (17 years ago, 7-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Disabling external modification checks in LDDP

Hi again, is anybody aware of how to stop the external modification checks in LDraw Design Pad? It's a nice feature, though whenever I edit a file I've got open in LDDP with another program, many times I get "bombarded" with about four dozen of (...) (17 years ago, 4-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
