Disabling external modification checks in LDDP

Hi again, is anybody aware of how to stop the external modification checks in
LDraw Design Pad? It’s a nice feature, though whenever I edit a file I’ve got
open in LDDP with another program, many times I get “bombarded” with about four
dozen of these and add to that the boxes that come up when the one in LDDP is
modified, I have to xkill LDDP and restart
it.
(I use Linux and use WINE to emulate the programs so the window decorations look
different. :-) It may also be the reason of these “bombardings”...)
