2) Export all the .mpd files that you want to use into the MODELS folder

By doing step 2 and placing all the .ldr files that make up the many .mpd files the user wants to make into one .mpd file you can then do step 3. MLCad will not see the .mpd files in the MODELS folder but since in step 2 the user exported all the files in each .mpd file, MLCad will see these. =)

But there's a neat "export" function in the file menu, where you can export .mpd's as .ldr's to a temp. folder. (...) (20 years ago, 14-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
