and for developers to see most requested parts.

Peeron has photos of many parts that aren't in LDraw. It would probably be • a
good idea to associate a request list with the Peeron entry, so there's no
confusion over what part is being requested.

Something to think about.

It would be a good idea is if there was a check in / check out / part in
progress type feature for this too.  so that if a developer begins to work
on a part, noone else wastes time on the same part, and maybe even has
access to the other persons work in progress so that if a part gets halfway
complete and the developer goes awol, someone else can pick up where they
left off.
