  Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

(...) That is not correct. The 1.8 sec are the drawing time. If you will have a look into 'statistics' you will see that most of the time the loading will take and then 1.8 sec. for the drawing is used. So this comparison is not correct, but you are (...)   Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

(...) That is just so not true. (...) Well then, welcome to my reality. Viewing just a small portion of Datsville on my AMD1100, for example TOWN-10.ldr, takes 1.8 seconds in L3Lab. But several minutes in LDView - if it doesn't crash. I am (...) (15 years ago, 11-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  LDD - Robotic Gripper

I modeled a robotic gripper end effector in LEGO Digital Designer. This design is the result of work I have done and a combination of techniques I have seen on Brickshelf.com. (URL) I have used this design on some of the Chassis prototypes I have (...) (15 years ago, 8-Aug-09, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

Re: HQ minifig head (grin pattern) with LGEO

(...) The picture you attached is based on triangles from LDRAW, so for whatever reason your LGEO substitution has not happened. If there are any "triangle" statements in your POV-Ray file, you know the LGEO replacement didn't work. I would guess (...) (15 years ago, 8-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: HQ minifig head (grin pattern) with LGEO

I'll try to answer Michael, Eric and Tore into one single post. But definitively I'm and LDraw nob and this is not running well... @Michael I'm using, 3626bp01.dat part for the minigfig head. LPub 2.3.0.10 POV Ray v3.1 for Windows Into LPub I give (...) (15 years ago, 8-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: HQ minifig head (grin pattern) with LGEO  [DAT]

(...) Does LPub support inline POV code? If so, you can always use my alternative minifig heads that turns HQ when run through L3P: Replies to this post: (URL) looks like I missed uploading 3626bp01 (?) If so, here it is... 0 Minifig Head with (...) (15 years ago, 7-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: HQ minifig head (grin pattern) with LGEO

(...) You mean like this? (URL) The LDraw part is 3626bp01.dat. If your LGEO substitution is working properly, you should have lg_3626bp01 included in your POV-Ray file. As an example, here is a POV-Ray file which will produce the above image: (...) (15 years ago, 7-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: HQ minifig head (grin pattern) with LGEO

(...) Please let us have more informations. Part number of the head you are using. LGEO version that you use. I think this are the most important informations. Are you sure you have used LGEO library in generating POV-file? cu mikeheide (15 years ago, 7-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

(...) So far we have much more TLC color numbers than in LDraw (Bricklink) with TLC apparently not going further than 300. Therefore a numbering starting with 3000 would be fine. w. (15 years ago, 7-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

HQ minifig head (grin pattern) with LGEO

Hello, I'm trying to render a minifig head (standard grin pattern) in high quality and smooth surface, using LGEO in POV-ray (via LPub), But always got it poligonized. Do you know how to fix it? BR, Fernando (15 years ago, 7-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

(...) In order to add new colors to the list easily and with some officiality, it makes good sense to follow a system like using the colors provided from the Lego company. This is what I agreed to when creating this list of colors; as I knew that I (...) (15 years ago, 3-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

  Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

(...) So is it possible to save a version of LDView's lighting parameters so that it defaults to colors that look right when using this ldconfig.ldr file? If so, then I'd like to suggest putting some comments at the top of the file mentioning this, (...) (15 years ago, 31-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

Has any thought been given to anyone on how patterned parts/stickered parts are to be handled? Because there are more colors used in printed and stickered parts then there will ever be in the plastic colors that this defines. I'm not trilled with (...)
