  Re: Brickworld 10183 Hobby Train Challenge

(...) Jeramy, I haven't really used LDD. Is there a way to limit the parts to only those in the Hobby Train? And, while I'm at it, what exactly is the Hobby Train? (...) Sounds cool. I may have to give it a try. Thanks Steve (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.events, lugnet.fun.community, lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Brickworld 10183 Hobby Train Challenge

This summer at Brickworld, I'll be hosting a train building challenge. Through this challenge, you will get a taste of what it is like to design a set with limited parts availability, much like the designers underwent while working on the 10183 (...)   A question about an animation scene

I have made a scene where a car follows a spline this is the main co ---...--- object { car_dot_dat matrix <0,0,1,0,1,0,-1,0,0,0,0,0> #if (version >= 3.1) material #else texture #end { Color7 } //translate<-960,-24,1860> rotate -90*y (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Getting rif off the 8.3 nomenclature???

(...) I just don't want people confusing naming conventions in the part library with naming conventions in Linetype 1 part references. I was mostly replying to Kevin saying his applications choke on spaces in part references, which is something I'd (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: Need LDD 2.0 Help from the Experts on Making Instructions

(...) I suspect it's a camera angle. Whether or not it's actually implemented at the moment is a different matter. Tim (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: Need LDD 2.0 Help from the Experts on Making Instructions

(...) OK, but why would those things be specified in the directions area? The directions refer to a part ID, and the part ID is defined in the model group. Where the part ID is defined is also where the location of the brick is defined. Just (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) Which may or may not be an issue. It's irrelevant if you're just editing existing lines, but if you add new ones, vi will add them in the file-native format (CRLF for a DOS file), while emacs will add them in the machine-native format.   Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) You have my pity ;) (...) I think it leaves them alone. Certainly I've never had any troubles with it converting one way or the other before. If you edit a Windows text file on a UNIX emacs it will show the extra ^R (or whichever is unused on (...) (18 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Need LDD 2.0 Help from the Experts on Making Instructions

--snip-- Nice reverse engineering. (...) I know this one :) Well some of it anyway... tx, ty and tz are the translation from the origin, ax, ay, az define a unit vector and angle defines a rotation angle (in radians IIRC). (tx,ty,tz) and angle (...) (18 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)
