Getting rif off the 8.3 nomenclature???

guys, I'm currently working on 004219b.dat - Sticker System with Australia Flag Pattern. unfortunately there is no rule for subparts in the sticker standard: (URL) to the PT references: (URL) are subparts numbered?   Re: Moscow in the 80s - diorama

Uh, oh, you may have an argument to model the underside of baseplates in LDraw: (URL) (It may not be obvious, but I'm being at least somewhat tongue-in-cheek here.) --Travis (18 years ago, 26-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: Light is too bright!

(...) In my 1998 Christmas picture (URL) (go to the end of the page) I hand adjusted the lights (one inside each candle) quite a bit. One important part was the material settings (Color46_t), as the clear L3P parts are much *too* clear. Most of the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Light is too bright!

(...) Wow! Thank you! I didn't know that. I tried some different options, and found that the "black" light (color 0, which isn't really black) surpringly produced the best balance between taillights noticably on and not spreading too much red light (...)   Re: Light is too bright!

(...) I just did before I read your post! (Just called it test.dat instead...) And it really works, the problem is POV will not inline the light into the position of SOFLIGHT.DAT but rather <0,0,0> of the POV world. This makes it more complicated, (...)   Re: Light is too bright!

(...) I notice you're using white as the color for light.dat. Since L3P pays attention to the color of the light, you can use a much darker shade of gray. The following was done with a light inside the trans red brick with a color of 0x02141414 (...) (18 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: Light is too bright!

(...) Thank you, Anders, I think that should do it. But the thing is, in LDA I try to do everything before running it all trough L3P. Adding post-processing to the steps already involved in LDA is not very appealing to me. And after the most (...) (18 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: LDD questions

(...) I remember searching for that in 1.6... how frustrating! Try to hit the arrow on your keyboard when placing the brick (it should not just be selected, but be ready to place (moving with your pointer thus) Hope it helps, Jean-Marc (18 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  LDD questions

1. How do you rotate a brick in LDD? - it does't mention it in the help - I must be stupid! 2. When I export to Ldraw I just get the 1st 2 lines, the other export formats look OK? Thanks, David (18 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Underside stud groups

Does anybody think that there should be stud groups for the undersides of plates made up of STUD4 type studs? Was wondering how much support there is for such primitives before submitting any to the tracker. (18 years ago, 24-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
