  Re: LDD questions

(...) I remember searching for that in 1.6... how frustrating! Try to hit the arrow on your keyboard when placing the brick (it should not just be selected, but be ready to place (moving with your pointer thus) Hope it helps, Jean-Marc (18 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  LDD questions

1. How do you rotate a brick in LDD? - it does't mention it in the help - I must be stupid! 2. When I export to Ldraw I just get the 1st 2 lines, the other export formats look OK? Thanks, David (18 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

(...) They should probably be less bright, you can multiply the whole RGB triple by a constant less than 1: ... 0.4 * <r, g, b> It would also help changing the 'fade_distance' and 'fade_power' to make them not shine so far. Or you could change them (...) (18 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  instructions needed

  Light is too bright!  [DAT]

Hi all! Is there a way to make the red tail-lights shine a little less brightly? I use the following code, 1 36 -50 -55 108 -1 0 0 0 0 -1 0 -1 0 4073.DAT 1 36 50 -55 108 -1 0 0 0 0 -1 0 -1 0 4073.DAT 1 15 -50 -53 108 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 light.dat 1 15 (...)   Underside stud groups

Does anybody think that there should be stud groups for the undersides of plates made up of STUD4 type studs? Was wondering how much support there is for such primitives before submitting any to the tracker. (18 years ago, 24-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Problems with Online Hobby Train Instructions

Anyone have any pointers for successfully downloading the instructions for the new Hobby Train set (10183) (Windows XP) ? I've already downloaded LDD 2.0.   Re: 10183 postponed?

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) Actually, from my fooling around with the software so far, I can say that there is some compatability between LDD 1,6 and LDD 2,0. When you try to load a file created with version 1,6 with version 2,0 it asks you if you want to try to import (...) (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

Hi all, I've converted the old conversion file from LDD 1.6 (with Jason Railton's adaptions) to LDD 2.0 format. It is far from perfect but is also far better than what is currently available. To install it just quit LDD 2, go to (...) (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) On the plus side, it does seem to run on older hardware. I could only run 1.6 on my wife's laptop which she bought last year. Last night, I was able to install and run 2.0 on my 5+ year old machine. -Elroy (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) Unfortunately, LDD 2.0 no longer runs on earlier versions of Windows. LDD 1.6 ran quite happily under Windows 2000, but the new version crashes as soon as you place a brick. It's also a bit mean to write off all the previously uploaded models. (...) (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd, lugnet.trains)
