  Re: Writing an LDDP plugin

(...) Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the information. LDDP is developed using Delphi and we've had problems in the past with our C++ sample code. Having not programed in C++ in quite a long time (10+ years), my skill with C++ is not very well (...) (18 years ago, 29-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Writing an LDDP plugin

Please disregard the previous message. I was able to compile and use the plugin by creating a .def file, and using this syntax: extern "C" void __declspec(dllexport) WINAPI Plugin_Info(unsigned char CaseID, char *buffer, unsigned char maxlength) (...) (18 years ago, 28-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Writing an LDDP plugin

I'm in the process of writing a plugin for LDraw Design Pad. Problem is, I can't get the darn thing to work in the program. When I compile the .dll and move it to the Plugins directory for LDDP, and open the program, the menu entry for my plugin (...) (18 years ago, 28-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

  factory order

I just made a LDD moc, & bought it thru factory @ lego.com. Anyone have any idea how long it takes to get it from the time of uploading/ordering? Jeff (18 years ago, 27-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: I found an LDRAW importer for Google SketchUp

(...) You can add dimension objects, which get "linked" to points you specify, so as you change the size of the object it's linked to, the dimension is automatically updated. Not the perfect solution, but does allow for reasonable accuracy. (...) (...) (18 years ago, 27-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: I found an LDRAW importer for Google SketchUp

(...) I haven't tried it either, though I haven't seen anything else to compare it to. I did manage to find one user review on a download site that says it's good, but it works best on light-colored objects. (...) Aye, there's the rub. (...) Many (...) (18 years ago, 26-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: I found an LDRAW importer for Google SketchUp

(...) I don't belive it works (well) until I've seen it :-) I've tested some other such programs through the years, and they just don't cut it. Haven't tried Pictomod3D though. (...) Note that it is an *im*porter, not *ex*porter. But it is probably (...) (18 years ago, 26-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: I found an LDRAW importer for Google SketchUp

(...) Actually I wonder about that. I searched recently for good 3D modeler programs on the premise that using such programs could rapidly shrink part authoring time if done well. In the process I also found Pictomod3D ((URL) which looks like it has (...) (18 years ago, 26-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Technic Plate Placement

(...) I, too, find that I just can't make pieces connect in LDD like they're supposed to. When this happens, I'll build up part of the model in LDD and then save as a .LDR file. Then using MLCAD (in LDraw), I fix the stuff that didn't work in LDD (...) (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  MOC: "Retro Factory" Motorail Terminal

Hi all, I've been working to recreate some of the great classic town/train sets within the bounds imposed by the piece assortment on LDD.   A few train MOCs
