  Re: "Illusions"

(...) Did you make it more transparent for the full spectrum, or just red and/or green? If you didn't increase the transparency for blue at the same time, maybe it's allowing orange light through while causing blue to reflect. (...) If my theory is (...)   Re: "Illusions"

(...) I was trying to make the flame pieces a little more transparent. I thought there were a little too "strong." It was just a little overbearing. I've used rgbt to great success before with the (URL) Town Square Fountain>, so I thought I'd try it (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: "Illusions"

(...) That is pretty cool looking, in a somewhat indefinable way. (...) Can we at least ask you what you were trying to do? Which part of it were you not expecting to happen? (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: "Illusions"

(...) No, I was editing the properties of the transparent color using Transmit. The only code I changed was for Color57, here: #ifndef (Color57) #declare Color57 = #if (version >= 3.1) material { #end texture { pigment { [rgbt < 1,0.4,0,.8 >] #if (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Call for Nominations to LDraw.org Steering Committee

(...) Thanks for the nod, Travis and Franklin. I, Steve Bliss, accept this nomination. Steve (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: "Illusions"

(...) Can you upload the pov-file? I'm sure the answer is hidden in there :) I think that you have used the "looks like" option of a light. I had always problems with that option and got nearly similar results. (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: LDRAWPREDIRS LDRAWPOSTDIRS - additional search paths

Where to store the preferences? While I've been aware of this thread, I haven't actually been following it, so correct me if I've got the wrong end of the stick. (...)   "Illusions"

A problem in a POV file resulted in a very unique and interesting, perhaps even beautiful? picture. (URL) I have an 800x600 version (URL) here>, and email me if you want the 1024x768 BMP. Don't ask me what I did; I don't understand why it happened (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.2b1 New Release

(...) Many thanks for yet another update on MBC! Can I vote for yet another key mapping...? You've added the Delete key for deleting selected pieces, can you please also map the Backspace key to the same function, so that Powerbook users won't have (...)   Re: LDRAWPREDIRS LDRAWPOSTDIRS - additional search paths

(...) Sorry to immediately respond to my own respond to my own reply, but I forgot one minor detail. The corallary to this bit is that to be safe, Windows programs should treat both / and \ as path separators any time they parse paths, and work (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDRAWPREDIRS LDRAWPOSTDIRS - additional search paths

(...) I believe that this isn't entirely true. We had a problem at work where a program didn't work right in Windows 9x (I think it was 98, but I'm not entirely sure), but worked fine in Windows NT and Windows 2000. After some careful debugging, I (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Anyone here know someone by the name of 'Braith'?

(...) Take a look at his post (the very one you replied to), from the web view, and you should see his email in the header of the post. I get it as Braith Garden <braithgarden@hotmai...OSPAM.com> (take NOSPAM out) Hope that helps. (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad, FTX)

It seems to me I'm having much more problems finding things with the new ldraw.org layout, than with the old one. The (...) (21 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDRAWPREDIRS LDRAWPOSTDIRS - additional search paths

(...) That's not exactly true. I'm sure you can work out an arrangement with Lars. After all, L3P is not entirely open source, and the benefit of all the LDRAW tools using an identical parts search strategy is probably more useful than having you (...) (21 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDRAWPREDIRS LDRAWPOSTDIRS - additional search paths

(...) Oh. I didn't know it was as easy as: ~/MacOSX/environment.plist I guess that is one route. In Cocoa, which is what Andrew and I are both developing in now, it is really easy to grab prefs that have a unique name for the application. It isn't (...)
