  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

Wow...that's a lot o' colors... Neat! -Stefan- (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) The way I see it, we probably will never switch to calling colors by their LEGO names - some, like 'Lig. Yellowich Orange' just don't work for me :) It would be nice to correlate the names we use to the entries in the table. For that matter, (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) After staring at this list for a while, I think it will be a sea change to use some of these names. For example: color #25 is called 'Earth Orange'. To my eye, this looks much darker than the color of a Kaadu (which we have called earth (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) We can't be sure - we've asked that someone look into it for us. Once we find out, we'll let you know :) Dan (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) Fantastic ! Is that believed to be complete, even inclusive of the odd scala, belville and HP colors ? Ray (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

Oh my goodness! Are there really that many colors of LEGO?! Great to see some TLC collaboration. Something I wish there was a lot more of. Great work, keep it up!! :-) ~Mike (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev) !

  Official LEGO Color Chart

Thanks to Jake and TLC, we just posted an official LEGO color chart, with RGB, CMYK, and Pantone colors, and a danglish name! Take a look: (URL) will be working in the next few weeks with LDraw to associate each of these colors with our current (...)   Re: Construction animation with Lpub

  elimination of theme categories

Ref: (URL) from: (URL) ...I want to put off making major changes (...) Since we've had the Parts Tracker running for a while now, is this a good time to resurrect this other issue? ;) Thanks, Franklin (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: how to make graphics

(...) You might consider a series of concentric rings of different colors. If you don't mind the ongoing POV-primitive debate, or are only interested in using the part yourself, you could make the dat file show a solid grey circle for normal dat (...)   Re: how to make graphics

(...) That is a great explanation, and its exactly what I did. Its reassuring to me that a couple of my more creative solutions, are probably the best way to take care of the issues I had. my only thing left to do is place the two circular areas on (...)   Re: how to make graphics

(...) I'm just guessing here, but there's probably NOT a way to do this via LDraw proper. On the other hand, there's probably a way to make it work in POV-Ray, I just don't know how... (...)   Re: how to make graphics

Well i have the graphics correctly sized against the part. all but the circle graphics... is there way to do this, that other people have used in the past. also the color is a gradient. how do you work with that? my question now is, do i need to do (...)   Re: how to make graphics

(...) We measure units in LDraw Distance Units (LDU). 1 LDU = ~1/64 in 20 LDU = 1 brick width/depth 24 LDU = 1 brick hieght => 8 LDU = 1 plate height -Orion (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: how to make graphics

yeah... i'm that far already, and even have a primitive in a dat for a graphic already. any idea what the specs are like numerical unit to brick. in height and width. thanks -tk "Chuck Sommerville" <chucks@he.net> wrote in message (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: how to make graphics

(...) The thing to remember here is that artwork on parts are applied as graphic primitives, like lines and triangles. You can not apply a bitmap image to a part. The .dat format just does not support it. -Chuck (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
