Re: Are the illustrations for the modeler's book series created with Ldraw compatible software?

(...) LGEO does have textured slopes, not mapped but calculated on the fly by POV. The effect is similar to that of the pics in the books. (...) I'm not sure what you mean by this (?) Here is more odd stuff: In "Lego City, The Ultimate Sticker (...) (22 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Are the illustrations for the modeler's book series created with Ldraw compatible software?

(...) I don't think they used LDraw -- unless LGEO has textures mapped on sloped parts. Also, the tiles are grooved, LDraw's tiles weren't grooved in 1999. Steve (22 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

I doubt though the used LDraw, for the book I have (Animals) dates back to 1999. One other possibility (...) (22 years ago, 12-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Level B Simplification - LDraw Boxer

(...) Clever idea. I don't know if you are interest by optimization. I suppose a brick is (xmin,xmax,ymin,ymax...min,zmax). I guess the most efficient data structure is octree. Octrees can be implmented as binary trees. On the first level you sort (...) (22 years ago, 12-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: First Lego Classics poster ready (at last!)

(...) Sure it took some time, the quality is indeed far above basic settings. Even if i am not yet 30 I appreciate the models and their ldraw rendering. Nice work, Damien (22 years ago, 12-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.models)
