  String and Rope

Are there official parts for use in generating string and rope segments? I couldn't seem to find anything even after searching through all the descriptions. (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Random bricks

Hmm, make it so? I mean, this (URL) is not realistic. Bricks are inside each other, but I guess that does not matter. Another thought... boy, I am thinking today :-) Using a similar tool, could you make a heap or pile of bricks? That would be nice (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Not at all. It doesn't become difficult until you want it to look realistic. Play well, Jacob (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Random bricks

Hi all, I just had a thought. Would it be possible to make a little tool that generates an LDraw file with random placed bricks? I mean like this: (URL) can imagine it was a pain to place and rotate all these bits and parts? Also this: (URL) in the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Even newer Train Poster: 4-6-4 Steamer

Hi, I am no train person but this is some amazing stuff! Beautiful renderings from Jeroen and supurb model and photo's. And ofcourse, being an LDraw person, I would like to see (have) the LDraw file of the Hudson. Is this possible? Thanks! Jaco (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

Re: Making parts 2999 and 2998 work together

Steve, I agree with your opinion. I am one of the people that have the 8448 modeled and do not mind one bit when I have to re-position a part so that it's orientation is more sensible. It's a small price to pay for the over all good for the entire (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: I got povray 3.5 and l3pao to get along, mostly but...

Hi Rob - I suggest you just export the POV file from L3PAO, and open it in POV 3.5 manually, instead of trying to render from L3PAO. Doing that works just fine for me. You may want to tweak a few things in the POV code, and may need to set your (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)
