Re: How do you make a widescreen scene in POV-RAY

(...) Have you tried Win4Lin? My cousin has had much success with it using GenToo Linux and RedHat. You may give that a try. (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: How do u make a widescreen scene in POV-RAY

Widescreen relates only to the Ratio between Width and Height, which I'm assuming you are refering to 16/9. Just define an image resolution (Width x Height) according to the !6/9 Ratio Examples: 16 x 9 32 x 18 48 x 27 64 x 36 ... 640 x 360 800 x 450 (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: How do you make a widescreen scene in POV-RAY

(...) You mean 9:16 instead of 3:4? There is most likely a line with the content: right -4/3*x Try to change it to right -16/9*x And remember to use some appropriate image dimensions, for example "-W800 -H450". Play well, Jacob PS: How can one (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad)

How do u make a widescreen scene in POV-RAY

How do you make a widescreen scene in pov-ray? What setting I need for the camera? (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: BrikTrak 2002 Beta 1 Now Available.

(...) These questions may be better suited for the BrikTrak(tm) beta forum to allow Richard to concentrate all answers in one place, a number of questions and answers are already there. (good questions though!) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.brickshops)

Re: BrikTrak 2002 Beta 1 Now Available.

(...) Very cool! I've been playing with the DAT/LDR/MPD import, and I have a few suggestions. 1) I often use color 256 for black rubber. Could you modify the program to interpret color 256 as 0? 2) One part that came up as UNKNOWN was 2412a.dat. In (...)   Re: Part Fix 3959 Space Gun

(...) Yes, "Torch" is best to cover both horizontal usage and vertical usage. It has been used as a flashlight but mostly in my imagination as I can't exibit a 1980s town set proving that. Personnaly, I view it as a flashlight in any space set. It (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Updated 30399.dat  [DAT]

I have fixed the duplicated lines according to L3P. Is this the correct name? Also, do I need to submit this to the tracker? If so, how do I get an account? I hope this one is correct, I don't think any of the parts that I have made have been OK'd. (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Trouble with POV 3.5

(...) I have found 3.5 to be almost twice as fast as 3.1 with the same files - tested on a PII, P3 and P4. Most incompatabilities can be removed with the version directive. (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: ASSOCIATE (was: Re: Renaming of 2916.dat)

(...) WAY better than using naming to overload. 2916 and 2917 get at best a very weak association if they have train in their name. With the ASSOCIATE keyword extension it becomes quite explicit what their connection is. (and parts can also have (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Trouble with POV 3.5

(...) Can't help it, I'm an upgrade junkie. Been that way for years :) Anyway, is there a good tutorial on MegaPOV? I have not used that yet, still using L3P. (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

ASSOCIATE (was: Re: Renaming of 2916.dat)

(...) Hmm. Interesting idea. So part 3937 (URL) might have an entry like: 0 ASSOCIATE 3938 6134 and part 3938 (URL) might have: 0 ASSOCIATE 3937 2440 (of course, these examples capture information that otherwise might be captured by a connectivity (...)   Re: New Part in progress - Baseplate 32 x 32 with Craters

If you include a comment in the part file, indicating that the bottom is modeled as a flat surface to reduce the size/complexity of the part, I think that would be alright. (...)   Re: CMDLINE Meta-statement

(...) The purpose is to specify viewing characteristics for a part that should be the default, but we don't want to hard-code into the part itself. Generally, it's used to specify the 'correct' color for patterned parts. So a patterned minifig head (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad)
