  Re: New Animations

(...) Oops...typo...those should BOTH be AVI. But then you knew that, didn't you? Why am I even posting this? I really DO have better things to do... Really. Matt (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Animations

(...) Nope...just the AI video format. There is still no elegant way to view AVIs in QuickTime. You'll have to install (*shudder*) Windows Media Player. Matt (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Larger Renderings?

Help! I use the POV-Ray Windows interface for rendering .pov files. As far as I can tell, the largest image I can render is 1280x1024. Is there a way to render larger? Thanks! Jake --- Jake McKee AFOL LUGNET Member #211 (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: New Animations

I can't view any of your animations because I have a Macintosh. I have tried to solve this in the past, but still haven't. Is this something like MPEG-4 or divx? -- Thanks: (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

  New Animations

Re: Drawing triangles in a Z buffer

(...) If you don't mind C code, there's the zAddTriangle() function in stub.c in the ldlite or ldglite source code. The old 1.6 ldlite source is a bit easier to follow since it doesn't have all the extra shaders. Also, it's a linear z-buffer, which (...)   Re: Drawing triangles in a Z buffer

(...) I may be missing your point/problem but... Think you may need to go bi-linear in your Z calcs. Yes this makes a Suppos'dly one pixel lookup method a two+ per pixel but if you are already using a scan line method you have the precalculated (...)   Drawing triangles in a Z buffer

Hey all, In trying to implement a LDraw renderer I've been scouring the web looking for raster-painting algorithms. While I've found plenty of line-drawing algorithms (the Bresenham seems to be pretty nice) I haven't found squat for drawing a filled (...)   Re: LDraw.org Tutorials - Categorization, Storage, Indexing, etc...

(...) Yeah, that's basically what I was thinking. Take Tim's tutorial page content and stick it in Microsoft Help. I don't know about other operating systems, though. SO, I wouldn't know about the types of software that would be appropriate. (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Introducing Jump-O-Bot

Dear all, One of the unsolved challenges posed by the authors of the very fine "Building Robots with Lego Mindstorms" is to construct a robot that propels itself jumping, rather than walking on legs or rolling on wheels.
