Are there any good FAQs/websites for a basic walkthrough of the easiest way to create an animation using .dat files? I'm familiar with ML-CAD, L3P (&L3PAO), and POV-RAY, but haven't really done much beyond static renderings of my models. I know that (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

I'd love to help but always feel I'm not worthy. If you take a look at (URL) then you can see as much as I'd like to get involved. I only have experience of some of the available utilities but it seems to be enough. I think what we all suffer from (...) (...) Yes, but it passes the "Is it?" test. This is the test we'd have to use to account for the Technic and Slope categories found in the LDraw parts library. (URL) figured l3p would substitute smooth cylinders for the 48/1-4cyli.dat primitives to make the tank look much more realistic (like this): (URL) l3p doesn't seem to substitute for the hires primitives so I had to remove the 48/ from all the (...)
