I know that things like ldraw-mode and hoser can do ribbed hoses, flex cables & tubing & so on but is there an easy way to position technic chain or track links? (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)

L3PAO has a "y" value that allows you to adjust the level of the floor. Is it possible that the lowest part in your model is not at y=0? I'm having problems with the floor settings in L3PAO. When I use the checkbox to render with a floor the POV file renders the floor in the middle of my model and leaves a black space (no floor, no background) across the bottom of the picture. Can (...) (23 years ago, 18-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Thanks, Fred! That was fast! :-o Putting .emacs in C:\ fixed the problem (I even see the font in colors :-)). Now onto bending a piece of straw/hose from my Mindstorms Vision Command Set! However, I believe that Emacs is generally clever enough to understand what you mean, so I don't think this is what stops your progress. Still, you (...)
