Re: Error in Technic axle extender?

(...) Yes. This has been discussed before. The original version of the part looks like the one in the library, while the new one is the way you describe. I have a few of the original axle extenders from 8857 Street Chopper. BTW, lugnet.cad.dat.parts (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

Anybody up to the lego soccer ball?

I know this part would be a realy challenge, but you could probably divide it up into a lot of similar subparts. still calculating all those angles will probably be realy tough. (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Error in Technic axle extender?

The Technic axle extender (6538.dat) may have an error. If you view an axle extender from an end and rotate it so that an inserted cross-axle would look like a "plus" (+) sign, the physical part will have detents around the circumference at 0, 90, (...)   Sorting parts by location

Does anyone know if there exists a utility to sort parts in a model file by their "cut plane" location? I know I can sort by X Y or Z values but what I am actually interested in is sorting using a cut plane that is perpendicular to the eye vector in (...)   Re: DS9

(...) VERY Cool. I'm SLOWLY getting around to modeling a companion Enterprise to go with my Klingon Battlecruiser. (URL) will only be a DAT, as I don't have the right pieces in the real world. I'm trying a lot of Technic parts (angle connectors and (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Primitives missing

(...) Do you maybe have an unofficial version of this part? I checked the 3942.dat on my install, and it doesn't reference 1-4ring2.dat or 1-4ring9.dat. You can get a copy of the current official part at: (URL) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Primitives missing

Hi all, I seem to be missing 1-4ring2.dat and 1-4ring9.dat in 3942.dat. Can someone explain this problem and/or mail the correct files? Greetingz... Sjaacko (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: DS9

Very cool. Should POV-RAY it with a teeny enterprise docked at it. Again, I say cool, but the real DS9 is more of a yuck brown. Captain Sisko would be proud. (WHen he gets back from playing prophet). Rick (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Technic Pneumatic Tube End

(...) Yes, this end part can be connected to any eight diameter rod, just as you can with a proper, real life pneumatic tube. It may be a problem that the length of the "widened" part of the tube is fixed, but you could scale it manually to suit (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  DS9

Here is an intermediate picture of the progress on my DS9. (URL) anyone has some experience with doing round and spherical shapes?   Re: Technic Pneumatic Tube End

This is even better! Ofcourse while the tube is as thick as an antenna #3957, handles of #3838 or the part where you would attach the tube on a pneumatic part like #67C01, the cone shape is great for detail. Jaco (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

RE: Hey everybody: A few things...

(...) Any program is going to be slow on a 486. You need a new computer :) YOu can probably get something better than the 486 for little more than $100. Or go search for a Pentium 1 in someone's trash....Don't take this the wrong way--I used a 486 (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Hey everybody: A few things...

(...) Yes to all the above. I tried LEdit, was too slow, and the redraw rate [on my machine] is enough to induce a seizure. Also, I use a 28.8 modem, so I'm very hesitant about downloading another program that prolly won't work after the LEdit (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad)

Technic Pneumatic Tube Example file  [DAT]
