Re: New Render -LMKWYT : )

Same basic idea, but this time its a Confed Battle Group. The dat files and ship designs are courtesy of Rick Hallman. I really like how this one looks. Check it out : ) -Xanthra47 (URL) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

Re: New Render -LMKWYT : )

Yeah, I like what you did, but we need more ships involved... Not little border skirmishes, but fleet depleting large scale engagements. IE draw a line in space and bring massive forces to bear... That's what I'd like to see : ) -Xanthra47 Rick (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

  BFC revisited

I'm looking for a model file that utilizes BFC-certified parts to test backface culling in the CAD application I'm developing. Unfortunately, as near as I can tell, only 13 part files have a BFC-related comment, and on top of that, they're not (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Datsville Overview Map (Was: Boundary Box Utility)

Here is another idea for optimizing dat models. It isn't a very good one, but, it just seems more realistic than what I said earlier (writing a utility smart enough to optimize an entire model). One could write a utility that presents each polygon (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

Rendering Datsville with POV-Ray (Was: About installing/Reinstalling Ldraw and about datville)

Eduardo: (...) It is as far as I know practically impossible to render Datsville in POV-Ray at the moment. I think it is necessary with some "intelligent" stud and interior removal to reduce the model to a size most systems can cope with. Jacob (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad)
