Okay, I got it to work! I hadn't known that the picture was crammed into the 0,0/1,1 square. So the mass of gray pixels was in fact the picture, tiled beyond recognition. :) Thanks again, Coby! --Ryan (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) You can do that in a similar way already now: Select the parts by functionality (e.g. turning mechanism parts) and group them. Once you've grouped all parts, you can easely hide/unhide the groups as you like... Until now it's not possible to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hi Micheal, I am wondering if it would be possible to use an unique identifier for each part belonging to a specific funcionality in the model. With this I mean: I would like to model for example the Technic Space Shuttle in MLCad and to see only (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) Right. I'd rather have one file be a standard part file, and the other be a "shortcut" type file, meaning that the part name would be prepended with an underscore. (...) 6180.dat was one of the original LDraw parts -- it should already be on your system. You can also grab a copy from (URL) (right-click the link and choose "Save Target As") Steve (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

I was inspired from the "Pop Racer" (no offence!) recently posted here to build my own. I realized that a pod racer can look like virtually anything, so I simply tried out some ideas. Ryan, Put the image_map inside a pigment statement, which is in turn inside the object statement. Like this: object { _screen_ pigment { image_map { gif "classicspacelogo.gif" interpolate 2 filter all 0.8 } } } I'm not sure what you want to do with (...) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)
