OK, folks. I've learned a lot since I first made this part, and now I have "fixed" everything (I think...). Now no subparts are required, and I removed the "no-no's" (type 2 lines outlining the patterns). This part is just an ordinary .dat file now, (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) uses the LDraw Script Compiler. (...) statements to pick from, or use your own (...) I sometimes use LDS - to reflect large sections of highly symetrical parts. I think I would use it more if I could more tightly link it with LDAO (my editor (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Rather than the suggestion of using alpha characters, in the "pattern number", have we considered allowing other characters in the sixth position - so we allow nnnnnp00-nnnnnp99 nnnnnq00-nnnnnq99, nnnnnr00-nnnnnr99, etc as valid patterned part (...) (...) In MS Internet Explorer, you can right-click the [DAT] link, select "Save Target As", give it a file name and location, and off you go. This works, even if you've got MSIE configured to automatically open DAT files in an LCAD program. Steve (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
