Re: Does anybody have any idea who made this part for LDraw?  [DAT]

(...) ok, Thank you Steve. I have made a few other tweaks, others to come, if they are welcome, and I'm not hurting anyones pride. 4862 - James J. - Glass for Window 1 x 2 x 2 Plane Quad with duplicate points. 4858 - James J.? - wedge 4 x 4 2 quads (...)   Has the other ThrowBot joint been made into a *.dat file?

Does any one know if the Technic ThrowBot Ankle, 2 x 3, w/ cross block has been done, or if someone is working on it?? Here is a picture: (URL) (24 years ago, 7-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Some thoughts..

This is a very interesting prospect. I look forward to when this project will come out. Let me know when it does, or what enhancements it will bring to the LCADding community! Thanks, Mike (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: shoulder pieces

(...) They're called "epaulettes". Someone has indeed been working on a DAT file for them: "(URL) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  shoulder pieces

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the shoulder pieces have been made in .dat form yet. By 'shoulder pieces', I'm speaking about the little shoulder pad like things in pirate sets, and possibly others. Just curious. Jeremy (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Does anybody have any idea who made this part for LDraw?

(...) Hmm. I was thinking your files were id'ed. Maybe I'm wrong. Well, checking releases ldraw.exe, lp97-13.exe, and lp97-14.exe (already conviently unarc'ed on my hard drive), I see 5 files with your name in them. If there were others, please let (...)   Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT

(...) Yeah, probably just a comment-line. Something like "Neck-marks also found in color X for torso-color Y". Not a big deal either way. (...) Hmm. I thought I'd seen minifigs like this. I could be wrong. I'll check my spares tonight. (...) True. (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Colour 24 in non type-2 lines (was Updated S\973S01.DAT)

(...) Yes - I believe this is correct. (...) Agreed. (...) Agreed. Lars, do you have the time to contact the original authors or make the fixes yourself? Chris (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT

(...) No - do you think I should? (...) Does this actually exist - a plain torso with a neck mark? Can anyone confirm? A brief look through my spares had not revealed such an example. I always thought the neck mark was a photo-detectable devise to (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Does anybody have any idea who made this part for LDraw?

(...) Well, *as well as* any... I think I made some classic windows and maybe some patterned parts that James didn't give me credits for. But then again, he didn't take any credits himself... -- Tore Eriksson Sweden ICQ: 76066510 LEGO: MOC++++ (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Searching for parts

(...) The FAQ is not quite correct. Step #1 should be last, not first. Strictly speaking, LDraw 'searches' by trying to access files, named as follows. (This is taken directly from the LDraw code). 'p/' + <filename> 'parts/' + <filename> 'models/' + (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT

(...) Great! I see you have discussed the neck-mark in lugnet.cad.dat.parts and come up with a brilliant solution. The neck-mark has always been a PITA to me; it is THE ONLY linetype 1 we have with color 24. POV has no notion of a "reverse" color (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Does anybody have any idea who made this part for LDraw?

(...) That's an original James Jessiman part. It was updated in LCAD Update 98-06; it was renumbered from 149 to 3962. Which is probably part of the reason it didn't get a file-header -- the file itself didn't change, just the number. *Any* part in (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: UNFINISHED insectiod leg

(...) Which parts can't you measure? I do 90% of my measuring with other bricks, another 9%+ with math. There's usually a way to get within 2LDU of any measurement on a LEGO piece. I very rarely use any 'real' measuring tool. Some common sizes: 4LDU (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT

Thank you, Chris! I think you made good choices where there are conflicting neck-colors. Did you note these issues in the part files? Also, would you mind making a 937p00.dat file, "Minifig Torso with Neck Mark Pattern"? Steve (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Is it appropriate to post large models here?

(...) Large part files I can understand. I know that (generally) means there are better ways of organizing the file, but some parts can be huge. But models are hard to make large. :) Steve (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)
