Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) When I've got a fast connection, I go for Partsref first, even though it's not as flexible as the VEC. But the VEC takes too long to load. Even LDList takes too long. (...) Todd's in charge of the search engine. I've provided him with the (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) I have a friend who insist on referring to the color as 'sand'. It wasn't until the recent catalog came out that she started calling it 'tan'. 'beige'? Nah! I like the other 2 choices better. (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) I second Tom Stangl who said: (...) For me too, that worked very well. It enabled me to brouwse through several part categories very quickly after one another. I had some trouble to find certain part categories, but that was because I was used (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.pun)

Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) Only sort of. Most of the old html files are still there, including the the files which displayed in the frame. Unfortunately, the frameset page is gone (it was overwritten). BUT, you can display the category page in your browser, without a (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) You're correct, "multiple" can be different for each of us. OK, how's this? I think Todd's search limit is similar (maybe same code) to the search function for the set database... I'm proposing that it be over-ridden for these links. But even (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) You're welcome! Thanks for the feedback. As I noted in reply to Jon, the colors in the colored images came straight out of LDLite. I'll keep your comments, and try to address them in a future revision. Steve (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) I've always thought of that color as "tan". As in "tanned leather". It's always made sense to me - but then, I'm in Alberta - surrounded by the cattle market. I've never considered it beige. James James Brown's Parts Sale: (URL) parts, (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) KEYWORDS is an option that authors can include in their LDraw parts. So far, not many parts include KEYWORDS. For the /partsref/keyword/ page, I also compiled most of the words from the part names. The intent of the page is to let people look (...)   Re: New Partsref is pure bliss

(...) Good to see Larry got the cross-posting right... (...) Umm, I'm confused -- the detail pages are essentially the same. Sure, they've got the new LUGNET-ish headers and footers, and now the 73 LDraw categories are arranged into a 2-level (...)
