Re: Excessive(?) use of Sub-parts (Was: New Part - 30200 Windscreen...)

Well guys, it looks like I need to warm up the 'ol inliner... and off to the LDAO world I go. :-) Steve, is there still any room for more parts in the next update? (As single file parts) I think I still have a coulple I haven't sent yet. Paul (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  questions about parts

Hi, I am very new to the L-Draw scene and have a few questions about the parts. I just recently downloaded MLCAD and I like its format a lot. What I am wondering is where to get new parts that don't seem to be in the 'complete' file I downloaded at (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Part - 30200 Windscreen 6 x 6 Octagonal Canopy Base

(...) I was dead? Acutally I have been busy with my family and work projects. (...) Nope! Don't even drink coffee either! :-) (...) Not a couple of hundred, maybe one or two, maybe more.   Re: automated rendering??? (was "Re: New White Tiger Mecha")

(...) Thanks for wrapping the color defs like this -- but how do I take advantage of them? For example, if I were to use Anton's color definitions, how would I tell the L3P output file to do so? Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Newbie questions

I just downloaded (and set up) MLCAD yesterday. I used the latest edition, and it created a parts list. But I've downloaded some of the DAT files from the models group and several things are puzzling me. I looked at the excellent tutorial, but did (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT

(...) Ya know, it seems awfully crass for me to put my name in there, seeing that Steve has done the vast, vast bulk of the work and I basically just fixed a typo. I'd be inclined just to strike my name from that list -- what do y'all think? Cheers, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT  [DAT]

Just a sneaky quickie: I changed the color on line 150 to silence L3Lab's alarms.   Re: Excessive(?) use of Sub-parts (Was: New Part - 30200 Windscreen...)

(...) Oh, you're not going to be happy with the next update... (...) With a good caching strategy, subfiles should make a net improvement in performance. (...)
