  Re: New to digital LEGO

(...) From the thumbnails, your pics look pretty nice. However, I don't have the patience to download 3+ Mb bitmap files. Please consider saving your renderings as JPG files, and compress them to 150 Kb or less. --Bram (25 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: New to digital LEGO

(...) If you're in LEdit: One thing you need to figure out is where your center of rotation is. By default, it's on <0,0,0>, but you can move it around. Personally, I keep a fake part line (e.g. 0.DAT) and move that around to help setting the center (...) (25 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad)

Technic Ribbed Hose (Example MPD file)  [DAT]

Here's an example file featuring a Technic Ribbed Hose at 120 LDU length. See lugnet.cad.dev for a reference. The file names and descriptions are open for changes, obviously. The latter especially applies due to my bad English. Fredrik 0 FILE (...) (25 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Suggestions for new primitives: Flex-System hoses.

(...) I can do that, and post the results soon on lugned.cad.dat.parts. Note that you will not find any hoses that are exactly 120 LDU long: They normally come in somewhat "odd" lengths. As for the ribbed tube, the best way to find the length of one (...) (25 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Suggestions for new primitives: Flex-System hoses.

(...) OK. According to Jim Hughes (via the Technica Element Registry) both the flex-system tubing and the corrugated tubing 'are widely available in many lengths'. So should we make a single "Technic Flex Tube" piece, and a single "Technic (...) (25 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  New to digital LEGO

Hi folks, I've just picked up the challenge of using Ldraw, L3P, and POV-ray. At (URL) you can see my first crack results. They are crude by the standards of some of your works, but I'm pretty excited about how little time it took to run through the (...) (25 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)
